All is Well

There are a few things you come away with when you grow up on a farm. Ways of being that are ingrained in your world like brushing your teeth. One you might not know about is you always close the gate. Even if the horses aren't in that pasture, you close the gate. I didn't realize this was a thing until living with another who does not close the gate. And then that brought me to a place of pondering what else is in there, a part of me, that I don't even realize.

A great way to get to know yourself is to notice what you love, what's important to you, and what gives you that warm fuzzy "all is well" feeling down to your toes. When you examine your values, you can really zoom in on your gifts and what you get to bring to the world.

The dictionary definition of value - a person's principles or standards of behavior: one's judgment of what is important in life.

It's something I haven't really put into words. It's like a compass that I didn't know where it was pointing to and yet influences everything, like how I show up for my clients, how I navigate the day-to-day with my hubby, and how I relate to myself. The subtle (and not so subtle) rules and expectations I have as well as what brings me joy and a sense of well-being and "everything is ok" sort of vibe.

All is Well

What is important to you that is also a part of you? It's like a theme song that you are walking out on the baseball field to bat. (Go Cards!) It's a settling-in that is like feeling cozy on the couch with your four-legged friend snuggled up close to you. The gate is closed and all is well. My room is tidy and clean and all is well. I checked in on my parents and all is well. I went for a hike in the woods and all is well. I'm laying on the ball and all is well.

It can be tricky to find the "all is well" space. Maybe even trickier if you are working on your comeback to find a place of joy. It's a part of healing, no worries. Joy is right there close to the "all is well" space. Start noticing your own gate, open or closed, and joy is right there waiting for you. You just get to step up to the plate and swing. We are all rooting for you.

Ladies, if you are looking for more joy in your world I have started a women's circle! It's this Friday both online and in person. This is a place for us to explore joy. Creating a map, finding your own personal compass to find yourself and connect with others in community. I don't know about you but I'm ready to be with others, sharing, laughing, and stepping into joy.
