Hi, I'm Melissa Russell...

 

I am a Licensed Massage Therapist, Lead Myofascial Release Therapist, and body healing expert. For 20+ years, I have focused on helping my clients get out of pain and get back to doing what they love!  

I am the owner/founder and lead therapist of Quantum Healing Arts, a myofascial release clinic in St. Louis Missouri. I am the creator of the Myofascial Stretch Method, and the founder of Beloved Bust, helping women decrease pain and tightness, gain peace of mind, and reclaim their bodies after breast cancer. 

After surviving a near-fatal car accident at the age of 21, I began the journey of self-discovery. Determined to live life to the fullest, I sought out books, teachers, seminars, and all the life experiences to better understand healing. Through the decades, I dedicated years of study and practice to the John Barnes Method of Myofascial Release and became an instructor for the John Barnes Myofascial Release Seminars.

While working in my clinic, Quantum Healing Arts, teaching Myofascial Stretch Method classes, and developing online courses for women after breast cancer, I have found my gift and purpose... helping clients unravel chronic pain. I discovered the love affair between body and mind and developed a unique method for lasting change I call Mapping; bringing the mind-body connection into awareness and so, becoming an active participant in your healing journey.

My method teaches insights about how the body works and heals, provides techniques to decrease pain and tightness, and facilitates transformation so people can “feel like themselves again.” 

This gentle approach creates long-term change by easing the emotional and physical trauma that has intertwined in the nervous system. Relief goes beyond traditional physical pain management by deciphering and undoing old pain patterns to release and transform pain and tightness into freedom and movement.

 

I am passionate about teaching clients how to understand their own mind-body connection so they can feel safe and empowered to integrate the wholeness of self. With a combination of gentle sustained pressure, mindfulness, and body healing, many clients feel relief in just the first three sessions. 

In addition to hands-on therapy sessions in the clinic, I teach weekly Myofascial Stretch Method classes, teach online courses and workshops, and offer one-to-one, online coaching sessions. I also enjoy travel, playing guitar, herb gardening, songwriting, knitting, and “geeking out” about fascia and quantum physics.
